The Sacred Song

Kṛṣṇa, it is You who permeate this material universe
and millions of universes that are levitating around.
I am transfixed upon Your form as I compose this verse.
Take me to the world unfound,
the world which by death and disease is unbound.

How many moons, earths, and skies have You created?
And why is even Lord Brahma to cease?
Verily Your glory is to be narrated,
So people feel at ease.
You’re infinitely blissful, the epitome of peace.

The epitome of peace You are, Lord Viṣṇu,
and ecstasy is what you bestow.
Having divided yourself into many through Manu,
You’ve taught us the way to go.
Make me a part of Your gargantuan toe.

Upon me You have conferred this life,
and I thank You with all my heart and soul.
This Earth is verily minuscule in size.
It’s Your glory that’s beginningless and whole.
Hare Kṛṣṇa! My salutations to the primordial soul.

This life is not less than a dream, I have known,
for all is absolved by You in the end.
To disease, death, and old age we are prone,
yet we fight and boo and pretend!
Kṛṣṇa, to the spiritual plane I wish to ascend.
